Quilt #5: Hopscotch

Number five is going down in the books as a fun one!  Despite all of the angles and sewing on the bias ALOT, I enjoyed every single second I worked on this one.  As noted in a previous post, the instructions were idiot proof.

That nifty little this square should measure 1" x 1" on the template page of the pattern completely saved my bacon.  I actually did the smart thing and checked my measurement.  My printer threw the scale off just a smidge so I adjusted accordingly when I cut out the template pieces.  Easy peasy.

I couldn't wait to quilt it. I needed to share a picture now:

The printed fabric is a jelly roll I've been hoarding for awhile now.  Botany by Lauren & Jessi Jung needed just the right pattern to show it off.  Lots of nice crisp white, cool angles and a Jinny Beyer spunky lime green.  I couldn't be happier with the way this turned out.

I hope to have Hopscotch quilted and bound by this time next week....at which point I will shamelessly steal Camille's styling ideas to try and capture some final pictures to post!
